Today, I want to share a little about why I think hiring a wedding sitter is the perfect idea! The thought for this blog was sparked by a wedding I planned recently. My sweet couple chose to hire a wedding sitter for their guests and I was able to see first hand what a wonderful addition this made to their event.
You might be wondering what exactly is a wedding sitter, and why do you need one?
A wedding sitter is a company who comes to your event and provides childcare for your guests’ children so that your guests can enjoy the event “child-free”. The wonderful part about it is that they aren’t just your average baby sitter, they spend the time to create fun-filled activities to keep all of the kids entertained and engaged with one another. So the event is not only fun for your guests, it’s fun for their kids too!
Plus, you won’t have guests that need to “dip-out” early to get home to their kids. #winwin
Lindsey Planovsky, Owner of Bring the Kids Events was kind enough to share some key points as to why this service might be a great addition to your wedding day, or any event for that matter!
We consider our service to be insurance for the Bride and Groom on their big day. When you chose to have on-site childcare, you are ensuring no distractions from younger guests.
“No Kids Allowed” or “Adult Only” on an invitation can be very off-putting to guests with children. When you inform your guests that On Site Childcare is provided at your wedding, you are setting a welcoming tone to all of your friends and family.
Even if the bride and groom do not have kids themselves, their guests and family members can have a worry-free and child-free event, knowing that childcare professionals are on-site making sure their kids are having a safe and fun time.
Having childcare at your wedding not only ensures a toddler tantrum free ceremony, but it is also a great way to give your guests an evening they will remember while their kids get to enjoy playing games with the other children in attendance.
It’s my mission here at OneTouch Events to always keep my clients up to date about anything that I feel may positively effect their event. Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions or are ready to implement this at your next OneTouch Event!
