Choosing your wedding stationery is certainly no easy feat with all of the options you have available, seemingly at your fingertips. Many of our clients need a bit of guidance when it comes to this so I thought sharing some tips would be a great idea.
Here are a few things to consider when choosing your wedding stationery:
1. Budget: All good decisions start with a plan and in that plan should be a budget. How important is your wedding stationery in your budget? Do you want to buy something online or go custom? Of course custom will cost you a bit more so it’s important to know this up front. Working with your Wedding Planner to properly design your suite based on your budget will make the process all the more stress free.
2. Pre-Made or Custom Designed: Many couples are happy choosing something online from places like Minted or Wedding Paper Divas, but many couples want something that really represents who they are as a couple and choose to go with a Stationery Designer to customize a suite that especially for them. One of our past OneTouch Events brides is an expert graphic designer so she was able to design and produce all of her stationery herself which was such a special addition to their day.
3. Details: Your Save-the-Date or Invitation will be the first impression your guests will have about your upcoming wedding. Branding your wedding from the start will set the tone! Are you fine with a basic stock paper quality and ink? Are you looking for something a bit more luxe such as gold foil or letterpress? These are also things to keep in mind when thinking about your stationery selection.
In addition to your stationery, consider creating a wedding website. These are commonly used to keep your guests up to date on any happenings surrounding your wedding weekend activities. If you are a couple planning a destination wedding or have guests traveling from out of town, this is especially helpful.
