Birmingham Wedding :: Hoover Country Club, Joy + Danny

As y’all likely already know, we love our Birmingham, AL weddings! There isn’t anything like a Southern wedding, and we’re so fortunate to be able to work in Atlanta and Birmingham regularly. Joy and Danny’s wedding was a vision. These two are an amazing power couple and their day was stunning.

The Prep

Joy’s mermaid wedding gown was beautiful! It has a classic sweetheart neckline and was covered in lace applique + pearls. She was breathtaking. And her hot pink bouquet of orchids (so amazing), calla lilies, roses, stock, and hypericum berries is one of our favorites of the year!

The Ceremony

Danny was serenely composed, as Joy made her way day the aisle. The ceremony was oh so sweet and spiritual.

The Reception

Following the vows, the wedding guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour at the Hoover Country Club while the bride and groom took their time with portraits- taking advantage of their swanky transportation. We make sure of this when crafting the wedding day timeline. Having alone time with your sweetie is so important during the wedding day!

The newlyweds sashayed onto the dance floor to Waves by Kanye West and then shared their first dance as husband and wife to At Your Best by Aaliyah.

They were surrounded by glamorous gold and fuschia/hot pink/blush decor. The vibrant, lush florals popped in the ballroom, and the gold, rhinestones sparkled in the candlelight. The hot pink uplighting and specialty linens were the perfect finishing touches to pull everything together. And the cake was absolutely exquisite. The white on white detail was gorgeous and the fresh flowers made it ultra luxurious.
