Some couples can feel a high power at work when their relationship begins. They might not be able to explain it, but some moment occurs, and it shifts the direction of their future. We happen to think this was the case for Stefon and Samantha, after hearing their story. Samantha met Stefon a couple of years ago at her home in Grand Cayman. She had just purchased a condo and her a/c suddenly stopped working. Considering the condo was new, it seemed quite odd. She made a call to the first a/c repair company in the phonebook, and they happened to employ Stefon. He arrived at her house to a working a/c unit. He couldn’t uncover an issue, and there hasn’t been one since. However, the encounter led to a date the following week.
Samantha said “Stefon showed up to my home and greeted me with a yellow flower (which I still have). He took me to a local Waterfront restaurant called Rum Point. It was quite an eventful journey to get there. At that time Stefon had a modified sports car…on our way to the restaurant the car stalled about five times… he was so upset and embarrassed. But we reached [the restaurant] safely and it was one of the most memorable dates of our lives because we talked like we [had known] each other forever.”
This couple is all about the small gestures. They’ve built their love on thoughtful things they can do for each other, without having to be asked. And they pray for each every single night, even when they are upset at each other. They say “It’s the little things that make our love special.” And we can see that between the two of them.
Their “imperfectly perfect love” engagement session was held in the spring at Summerour Studio and Cator at Woolford Gardens – both gorgeous locations!
The inspiration for the shoot was simple- love is imperfectly perfect. Two imperfect people embarking on a journey perfect for them. The locations were based on their natural, imperfect beauty as well. Imperfections are only a small part of a bigger picture, which is how they approach their life and love. They said “We also wanted calming colors for our clothing because no matter what storms are going on around us we are each other’s calm.”
The couple is looking forward to standing before God and their loved and saying I CHOOSE this person among all others. I CHOOSE you. They’re also looking forward to the food because they love to eat (and they have an amazing caterer)!
The couple has a long distance relationship, and we’ve been working with them from a distance. We’re so excited to spend time with them THIS weekend for their intimate dinner party wedding!
