OneTouch Events Couple: Mellori + Kevin’s Atlanta Engagement Session
Hey Loves!
We’ve had such a PHENOMENAL first half of the year with the start of our wedding season. From the engagement sessions leading the way to the wedding weekend, it brings us so much joy to SEE this much joy in each of our couples! For this week’s OneTouch Events couple spotlight, allow us to introduce you to Mellori and Kevin, who will round out our Spring wedding season this weekend!
Both Mellori and Kevin are Attorneys who met during a happy hour at Bocado –an eclectic American eatery known for its burger & craft cocktails boasts a lofty, modern space. Side note: I’m a Bocado fan also! Get the garlic fries, #thankmelater.
For their first date, they went to dinner at The Shed at Glenwood -an airy industrial space featuring creative New American small plates, entrees & cocktails. It was clear from the beginning that not only did they share similar interests in food/dining, but they as Mellori says “…just GET each other. We support each other unconditionally, there’s no pressure, it’s just a natural, easy love.” I personally witnessed this during one of our timeline discussions, over craft beer and drinks, and just seeing how they interact with each other was inspiring; I fell in love with their love!
We are a sucker for a good love story so of course I have to share the details of THE Proposal from Mellori:
“It was totally unexpected! After a long work week and a weekend speaking engagement, I went to Kevin’s house on a Sunday evening (per usual) to cook dinner and watch our favorite show, The Walking Dead. As was my custom, after getting dinner started, I went to the cupboard to get a wine glass…. but they were all gone! Puzzled, I asked Kevin, “Where are all the wine glasses? Did you have a party or something?!” He said, “Ahh, they are in the dishwasher.” I replied, “All of them?!” After a few minutes, I went to the dishwasher which was completely empty, except for a card with my name on it. I opened the card and read some words about being the woman he prayed about and dreamed of, then everything got a little misty…. When I turned, he was on one knee and asked me to be his wife! After minutes of tears and asking “Are you serious?!!” I finally said YES!!!
Where’s the tissue?!?! I mean really…does it get any better than this?!
We’re so excited for Mellori & Kevin’s Southern Romance wedding this weekend and when asked what they are most looking forward to: “…finally being husband and wife and having fun with our family and close friends!”
