Since 1963, The Metro Atlanta division of the YMCA has hosted a traditional prayer breakfast called “The Good Friday Breakfast” to honor its Judeo-Christian heritage. Sponsors, Members, Donors, and locals are invited to join for a morning of faith, family, and fellowship. The YMCA, renowned for its community service, is dedicated to providing opportunities for all, especially children, to reach their full potential and thrive in life.
In 2023, our team had the honor of assisting the Metro Atlanta YMCA with organizing the Good Friday Breakfast held in the Cobb Galleria Centre. Since this was the return of this event since it was postponed due to COVID back in 2019, the Metro-Atlanta YMCA had high expectations to foster meaningful connections with other YMCA organizations and collect ample canned food donations for charity.
For this single-day event, we supported the YMCA by managing the service providers to foster a rich and seamless production of the event such as the photographer, an AV provider, live musical components, and liaising with venue captains.
From there, we oversaw the symmetrical, breathable floorplan with nearly 80 tables to support the YMCA’s 700+ guests. Designing the event stage was crucial to setting the room’s tone and energy. We ensured the stage could host the live band, presentations, and greenery for added vibrancy with nods to the occasion, Easter Lilies.
Other thematic elements were fully on display and supported an event with a purpose, were the plentiful canned goods centerpieces from one of the signature sponsors, Publix Supermarkets, to highlight the event’s theme of community giving.
As the final details fell into place, our team prepared for a seamless event day by creating our signature Run of Show document, which is a comprehensive overview of the complete event timeline from load-in to load-out so we can successfully manage the onsite event execution each step of the way. The YMCA team was grateful to have the opportunity to be guests at their own event, engaging with donors, volunteers, and fellow staff, while our team took care of everything behind the scenes.
