We’re so excited for today’s OTE Couple Spotlight with Amede and Rotimi and equally as excited for their wedding on June 10th!
Amede and Rotimi met on March 17, 2012, at Lotus Lounge in Washington, D.C. Amede noticed Rotimi staring at her with St. Patrick’s Day oversized sunglasses. Rotimi found the courage to approach her. Instead of asking her to dance, Rotimi asked, “Do you know how to cook Nigerian food?” It was apparent that Rotimi was searching for ‘Love in the Club.’ Amede fell for his smile and sense of humor. Until this day, Amede continues to laugh at his jokes while Rotimi enjoys his egusi soup!
Three and a half years later, Rotimi and Amede arrived in Hawaii at the Modern Honolulu Hotel for a much-needed vacation. Upon arrival, Amede opened the door to rose petals sprinkled on the floor and bed. Immediately, Rotimi kneeled down on one knee and proposed to her.
Amede was surprised by the proposal. She became tearful after learning that Rotimi called her four older brothers to seek their approval. Rotimi’s respect for her family touched her spirit. Amede fell deeper in love with Rotimi, and she said “YES!”
The couple celebrated and watched fireworks the entire night!
Nowadays, Amede works in Social Services and Rotimi is a Physician. Because Atlanta is Rotimi’s hometown, it was the perfect location for both their engagement session and wedding festivities.
For their photos, the Atlanta Westside Provisions District offered the landscape diversity they wanted. Plus, the self-proclaimed foodies knew they needed a spot with at least pit-stop. You can see the location & couple’s personality shining through every single image.
When it comes to finding two professional people who are committed to their careers, each other and God (not necessarily in that order), Amede & Rotimi are it! These two have been through a long, deep and committed journey already, and we know they’re going to soak in every moment of the wedding day. And party, hard!
