The 2018 wedding season is well underway and we’re up to SO many fun things! We have some amazing Atlanta weddings planned for the year (as well as Birmingham, AL, Tybee Island, GA + a few destination events too). Including this week’s OneTouch Events couple spotlight, Simone & Dustin!
Dustin, an Applications Analyst & Simone, a Marketing Manager met during a class in college where they, strangely enough, were assigned next to each other. Their first date was at Red Lobster. Simone said “That was a big deal for college students! Ha!” We agree; Dustin presented himself as a keeper early on 🙂
Today, they are blissfully engaged, the best of friends and connect on such a deep level! They love a good beach and a good meal. “If we could just live on the beach and eat good food forever we would be the happiest people on the planet.”
Simone & Dustin were in a long distance relationship between Atlanta and DC when the proposal happened. Simone shares with us “I was in Atlanta and would fly up to see him in DC about every 3 weeks. I flew up there on our anniversary (we had been together for 5 years) and he picked me up from the airport with flowers (and sweaty palms and a nervous smile lol). When we got to his place, we exchanged gifts. When I took the card out of the envelope I saw that it was a custom card with our picture on the front (aww) so I was like okay this is cute. Also, I have to say, we have a competition with cards. We try to see who can give the best card, so immediately, I thought he won. Little did I know…
So anyway, he told me to read the card aloud, which I thought was very strange but I did it anyway. When I got to the end, it said stop reading and look up… and he was on one knee with the most beautiful ring I’d ever seen! I cried and cried and cried. I didn’t even hear him say anything but he was on his knee for a while. He had to eventually ask me if I am going to say yes because I was just in shock! It was perfect.”
For their October engagement session, one of their looks was a date night theme and the other was Bulldog Pride (which was only right having met at South Carolina State University)!
We’re looking forward to their timelessly romantic wedding in June! And the couple is most looking forward to dancing the night away!
